The E80W GbS was the first Mahlkönig grinder with The Sync System. It develops the E80S Grind-by-Weight with electric burr adjustment and machine connectivity.
The scale under the portafilter measures the dose while grinding. 80 mm burrs and active temperature control keep the pace up all day.
Baristas can adjust the grind by hand or leave it to the system. Connected to the machine, the grinder sets the grind so that extraction takes as long as the recipe says.

questions about the E80W GbS
Does the E80W GbS make sense in a small café?
Usually not. At moderate volume the E65W GbS offers the same functions in a smaller body. Choose the E80W for very high volume or when one grinder serves two machines.
How does grind correction with the machine work?
The machine records the extraction time and sends it to the grinder. The grinder compares it with the recipe time and moves the burrs finer or coarser. A single odd shot does not change the settings.
Will you help connect the grinder to the machine?
Yes. At set-up we connect the grinder to the machine or Sync Scale and configure the recipes.
